Rigden Capital Strategies (RCS) is a fee-only, fiduciary, independent Registered Investment Advisor seeking an entrepreneurial wealth manager who enjoys both earning clients’ trust and delivering thoughtful financial advice.
This opportunity combines autonomy with firm-provided leads, technology, operational support, and a collaborative team. You’ll build your own client practice within RCS and manage each relationship from the first conversation through ongoing planning and investment management.
You do not need an existing book of business. Advisors starting from scratch, bringing a small friends-and-family practice, or transitioning an established book are welcome. An existing book can help you reach a steady income sooner.
The Opportunity
In the early stages, most of your time will focus on business development: meeting prospects, assessing fit, explaining RCS’s value, and converting qualified prospects into clients.
Historically, the firm has provided qualified leads per advisor each month, including introductory meetings booked directly onto advisors’ calendars by a vetted partner. That history is not a guarantee of future lead volume or client conversions. You’ll also develop business through your own network, referrals, and firm-supported marketing.
You have discretion to accept clients who fit your practice. Once a client joins, you support the full relationship, supported by the firm’s tools, processes, and team.
As your practice reaches approximately 75–100 households, ongoing client service and referrals typically become a larger part of your week. Business development remains part of the role. A soft cap of approximately 150 households helps protect service quality and a manageable workload.
What You’ll Do
Build and grow your practice
- Follow up with firm-provided leads and develop prospects through your own network.
- Lead introductory and discovery meetings to understand prospective clients’ needs and assess fit.
- Communicate the value of RCS’s planning and investment services and guide prospects through the decision to become clients.
- Participate in firm-supported marketing, networking, and social outreach.
Own the client relationship
- Build, deliver, and update personalized financial plans using RightCapital.
- Provide fiduciary advice tailored to each client’s goals, circumstances, and priorities.
- Implement and manage portfolios within the firm’s investment guidelines.
- Lead ongoing planning meetings, investment reviews, and proactive client communications.
- Deliver a responsive, high-touch experience throughout the relationship.
Execute with care and accountability
- Oversee digital onboarding, money movement, rebalancing, and account maintenance.
- Maintain complete, timely documentation of client interactions, recommendations, and actions.
- Follow firm compliance procedures and report errors immediately.
- Use the firm’s knowledge base and contribute to improvements in workflows and client service.
Contribute to the team
- Participate in weekly team meetings and one-on-one meetings.
- Share ideas and best practices, support fellow advisors, and collaborate on client needs.
- Help shape the firm’s processes, culture, and continued growth.
What We’re Looking For
- CFP® certification preferred and generally required. RCS may consider exceptional candidates working toward certification and support their progress.
- Series 65 required until CFP® certification exemption.
- At least 1–2 years of hands-on experience in financial planning and client relationship management.
- Demonstrated business development and client acquisition skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build authentic, lasting client relationships.
- An entrepreneurial mindset, personal initiative, and consistent follow-through.
- Comfort working remotely and using digital planning, portfolio, and client-service tools.
- Strong operational discipline, attention to detail, and commitment to complete documentation.
- Unwavering integrity and accountability. We expect advisors to raise concerns promptly, own mistakes, and help resolve them.
The Support Behind Your Practice
RCS provides infrastructure that helps you focus on building and serving your client relationships:
- Firm-provided prospect opportunities, including partner-booked introductory meetings.
- RightCapital financial planning software.
- A fully digital onboarding workflow through Advyzon.
- A fractional compliance team.
- A shared, part-time administrator.
- Firm resources, structured meetings, and peer collaboration.
You’ll have meaningful autonomy, along with clear expectations for client service, investment management, and compliance.
Compensation and Work Arrangement
This is a remote-first/hybrid role. Compensation is 1099 independent contractor status, with no base salary or employee benefits.
Compensation includes:
- A revenue share on your client book, paid quarterly.
- A semi-annual profit-sharing bonus.
Your income depends on the practice you bring and build. This opportunity is best suited to someone comfortable with variable earnings while developing a client base. Upside is uncapped.
Is This the Right Fit?
You’ll thrive here if you want to build a practice, enjoy business development, and take pride in serving clients from start to finish. You value autonomy, welcome accountability, and want to contribute to the growth of an independent firm.
The role is unlikely to meet your goals if you need a guaranteed salary and employee benefits, expect an established client base to be handed to you, or want a planning-only position with limited prospecting or client contact.
If you’re ready to build a practice supported by fiduciary values, modern technology, and a collaborative team, we’d like to hear from you.
